Adeline (Addie) Bohulano Suguitan

Adeline (Addie) Bohulano Suguitan was born in Tracy, California and raised in Stockton, California. She graduated from Edison High School and married her high school sweetheart Mel Suguitan. They have three adult children.

At 18 years old she was hired at Pacific and Gas Electric (PG&E) as a mapper. At that time, she was the first women to be working in this field. She attended San Joaquin Delta and Riverside City College and earned an Associates of Science degree. She attended University of Riverside and UC Redlands and took classes in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She was the first women supervisor in the mapping division in Riverside County. After forty years as a public servant with Riverside County Planning Department and City of Stockton Community Development she retired.

Addie is a member of the Filipino American Historical Society-Stockton Chapter and in charge of membership. She served as an Elder and Deacon for Trinity Presbyterian Church. She’s a charter board member of Little Manila Rising and takes pride in saying she’s the Auntie to Dr. Dawn Bohulano Mabalon (Co-founder of Little Manila Rising).
