Hannah Rhea Divino

Holistic Health Director

Hannah Rhea Divino grew up in South Stockton and represents Edison High School aka E-HOUSE with spirit and pride. She was lucky to be one of the first students to experience all four years of the Little Manila After School Program (LMASP), being able to witness the beautiful transformation from when it was first founded in 2009 until now. Hannah is grateful to have had access to instrumental mentors from LMASP who encouraged her to attend Pilipinx Youth Conference (PYC) at UC Davis which changed her life - it was the college where she later earned two Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Human Development. Everything came into full-circle as she was blessed with the opportunity to co-lead PYC in 2017 and empower high school students through workshops on mental health, Filipino history, Pinayism, and more. She had a calling to return back to her hometown and become a change maker as an LMASP Educator and later the Operations Director at local non-profit partner agency Fathers & Families of San Joaquin.

In June 2020, she was led to transition back home with Little Manila Rising into a full-time position as a Holistic Health Director to focus on developing organizational resources and building their local Mental Health Initiative while cultivating & facilitating opportunities for healing at the mental, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and physical level for youth of color and their families in Stockton. This role is in deep alignment with her own passions for mental health grounded in culture and social justice, due to her personal lived experiences. Being a part of the organization doesn’t feel like a job as she carries the lineage and spirit of Filipino community organizers who walked through the streets of Little Manila, showing that when you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life. To her, it’s not just a “job”, it’s a lifelong commitment to learning, leading, and aspiring to inspire others to lead change in their community. Whenever she drives past the last remaining buildings, she is reminded why our history and voices must be reclaimed - for our ancestors, for Little Manila, for Dawn. #DawnMabalonIsInTheHeart
