Joselle Currimao
Community health equity specialist - healing puso
Born and raised in the Stockton area, Joselle is a second-generation Filipino-American. She obtained a B.S. degree in psychology from UC San Diego and a M.A. degree in counseling psychology from Santa Clara University, where she did hands-on training at a community health agency that ministers to an underserved pocket in the South San Francisco Bay Area.
Most recently, she served as an activity director at a local inpatient behavioral health facility, where she provided compassionate social-emotional support and empowered residents through their recovery processes.
Her experiences have culminated in a desire to pursue professional purpose at the intersection of diversity and inclusion, community, and mental health and holistic wellness work.
She delights in the stories behind people, places, and things - relishing any opportunity to learn about her family’s history and connect the family tree with her mother, to rummage through vintage goods at a flea market and absorb interior design inspiration from her surroundings, or to explore cultural gems in our corner of the world. A millennial plant parent, she also enjoys tending to her collection of plants. She has recently rediscovered her love for strength training and yoga, and hopes to also take on running and hiking again in the near future.
